Department of Economic Development awards Youth Opportunities tax credits to Every Child’s Hope

ST. LOUIS —The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) today announced that a St. Louis organization that offers various services to Missouri children has been approved for state tax credits under the Youth Opportunities Program (YOP).

            Every Child’s Hope has been approved for $250,000 in YOP tax credits. Every Child's Hope Conflict Resolution for Troubled Youth project will teach at-risk youth residing in three of their specialized residential treatment units to resolve conflicts peacefully, without resorting to violence. The youth in their two Safe Intensive Units and the Social and Behavioral Learning Unit will engage in both individual and group therapy sessions which enable the youth to become successful, more productive members of their families and their community.

 

The Youth Opportunities Program, administered by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides tax credits to organizations administering positive youth development or crime prevention projects.
