Purpose:
Provide assistance to the U.S. Department of Labor to determine the availability of U.S. workers and the potential adverse effect on wages and working conditions that the admission of alien workers might have on similarly employed U.S. Workers.

Services Provided:

• Reviewing the application for completeness;
• Advising employers of deficiencies and corrections that should be made to applications before submission to the U.S. Department of Labor;
• Testing the labor market;
• Referring qualified U.S. workers to job openings for which labor certification is sought;
• Conducting prevailing wage surveys; and
• Providing prevailing wage determinations to employers for labor condition and labor attestation applications.
