To train an employer's workers as peer counselors. As peer counselors, they help co-workers who face layoff to find a job or training that will lead to a new job.
Services Provided:
- A team of workers selected and trained in all services available to the laid-off workers.
- The team acts as an informational resource for all their fellow workers.
- Onsite informational centers established to make resources readily available.
- Workshops and other services are arranged as needed.
Workers affected by the downsizing, layoff or closure.
