Assists economically disadvantaged young adults become responsible, employable and productive citizens by providing them with opportunities to develop the vocational, educational and social skills needed to succeed.
Services Provided:
- Residential and non-residential centers (including three in Missouri - St. Louis, Excelsior Springs and Mingo);
- Vocational training in a variety of trades, including Transportation Communication Union (TCU) training;
- Basic Education and high school equivalency (G.E.D.) classes;
- Advanced education opportunities at some centers; and
- Living allowances and readjustment funds.
Economically disadvantaged young persons ages 16 through 24.
